Today, we’ve changed it up a bit and added some chicken breasts to the dish and just sprinkled the dish with some Feta Cheese. Don’t worry! Crumbled Feta will work in this recipe since I know the blocks of Feta cheese still seem to be sold out in some stores.
This is another super quick, easy, delicious, one-pan recipe that you have to try. Especially for all the guys out there who all “need their protein” and love chicken. Let me know what you guys think of this recipe compared to the original!
1. The shape of the pasta doesn’t matter!
2. Cherry Tomatoes work best here. The more wilted they are to start, the sweeter your pasta dish will be in the end.
3. I always say fresh is always best, but especially when it comes to your garlic in this recipe. Even stay away from the processed pre – chopped garlic if possible.
4. Again, fresh basil is best, but feel free to use rosemary, thyme, or a blend of your own herbs and / or spices.
5. The brand of Olive Oil doesn’t matter here. Just make sure you’re very generous with it.
Prep: 5 mins. Cook: 30 mins. TOTAL: 35 mins.
3 Chicken Breasts
1/2 cup Olive Oil + more for finishing / drizzling
Cherry Tomatoes (around 20-25 oz.)
2 Cloves Garlic, finely chopped
2 tsp. Paprika
1 Tbsp. Oregano
Salt and Pepper
1 lb. Pasta
1 Bunch of Fresh Basil Leaves
Crumbled Feta Cheese (sprinkled on top)
1. Preheat the oven to 375.
2. Add the chicken breast. to a baking dish.
3. Add olive oil, garlic, onion powder, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
4. Mix well.
5. Add whole cherry tomatoes and drizzle again with olive oil.
6. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
7. Prepare / cook the pasta according to the directions and then strain.
8. Remove the baking dish from the oven and shred the chicken. (You can either do this with two forks in the pan or use the paddle attachment and your kitchen aid like I did.)
9. Toss in the pasta and fresh basil and stir again.
